At The Andrews School, we don't just prepare students to pass an exam - we teach them to code at a professional level required on the job. Employers know the difference.

Train the right way from the beginning - training so effective that employers consistently tell us that our graduates perform as well as many experienced coders. That's because our training is comprehensive, covering both inpatient (facility) and outpatient (physician) coding, and preparing students for both the CPC and CCS certifications.

Your success as a medical coder right out of school depends on the level of training your medical coding course provided. Check to see how graduates of the school have done. What certification exams do they typically pass? How do they usually do on pre-employment coding exams? Are most of the graduates getting jobs? If they are being certified with credentials that employers are looking for, that's a very good sign. If their graduates usually get jobs, that's a very good sign. Andrews School graduates typically pass both AHIMA's CCS exam and AAPC's CPC exam on the first attempt. Most schools don't teach at the level required for graduates to pass the CCS exam, so that sets Andrews graduates apart from most other new graduates. Our graduates have a very high percentage of getting actual medical coding jobs, not "Foot in the door" jobs. That sets Andrews graduates apart from others.
